Fabulous food in a lovely cozy spot, perfect for date nights or a friends night out. I would rent it for a rehearsal dinner or a private party. The space is perfect for something that feels special and secret.

The only thing I would edit would be the lighting and music (would dim the lighting and play more chill lounge music) to match the special upscale nature of the incredible food and service.

The staff were wonderful and attentive and not pushy or snobby. The best service I’ve had in a year in South Ayrshire! We had a wonderful night and it was incredible value for money with the tasting menu on a Sunday night! Definitely coming back. More...

Great wee seafood restaurant in the centre of Ayr. Staff are very obliging and with great seafood at excellent value it’s well worth a visit.

Thank you for making my Mum's birthday so special, nothing was a bother, they pulled out all the stops, put banners up for me, decorated the table and sang happy birthday! What can I say, big disappointment, booked a table by email for 6pm, pre ordered the seafood platter for 2 , arrived at 5. 50pm, place was locked, waitress came and said it was closed until 5pm? We explained it was 5.50pm and we had a table booked, then we were seated and given menus, we said we had pre booked seafood platter, she said they had no record, I showed my email and reply from Gavin, (the chef) she apologised profusely but said that unfortunately he hadn't made a note of it so we were unable to get lobster but could get a platter with everything else, we agreed although we were really disappointed as we had been looking forward to this all week and had paid £20 in a taxi from our holiday cottage, and we had to pay the same back again, platter arrived and as it was served on stainless steel servers, everything was cold, plus there was no Smoked salmon, as advertised on menu???? we asked for the scallops to be heated again, they were taken away and brought back, having been reheated in a microwave, we couldn't eat the food as it was so cold, definitely won't be returning again, totally disappointed in what was meant to be the highlight on the last night of our holiday. Rockpool? Rockstars!!!! My sister booked a table for her birthday. I tentatively called them from the States, hoping to do something special for her. The response? “No problem. You are very far away. We will get her flowers. We can’t make a cake because it’s our busiest day tomorrow but we’ll go out and buy one for her. Just give us a call back about the same time tomorrow and we’ll settle up! “.

And they got the flowers, the cake and even sang happy birthday (and I heard the food was incredible too). Support this wonderful business.

we arranged as a large family group to come to Rockpool. They especially opened the restaurant for us on Monday evening. Put together a menu which would sort the picky young eaters out too.

Everyone enjoyed the food, service was impeccable. The wee business is a lovely family owned business so there was a lot of heart with everything they did. This showed clearly in service and food.

Prices in our view was really good, value for what we got.

It is indeed a hidden gem. If you are ever up this way in Ayr. seek them out

The freshest seafood cooked simply and skillfully to perfection. Nice atmosphere with good upbeat music in the unique ambience of Queens Court Centre. Tightly curated, good wine and cocktails list. Friendly, efficient staff. Definitely check it out!

The food is wonderful…fresh seafood cooked beautifully.it’s so good to see a chef with such passion for cooking seafood. We had the seafood platter….lobster Thermidor, langoustine,mussels,house hot smoked salmon, sea bass. Best sea bass I’ve tasted- wonderful thick fillets in a very light crumb. Chef really knows what he’s doing with fish!
