Stef is the best trainer in helping you reach any fitness or weight loss goals - I’ve trained with him for almost 7 years, his knowledge and passion for fitness and motivating people is infectious and on personal level he is such a lovely, genuine and I couldn’t recommend Stef enough 😁

I’ve had regular PT sessions with Stef for a while. He’s accommodating and friendly. He’s knowledgeable and works around any injuries or ailments I have. He challenges and motivates you keep going when you think you can’t.

I did many classes with Stef, and some in a smaller group. His exercises were always well thought and in a good sequence. It was the right amount of fun and challenge ! Stef would always make sure the posture was correct and also suggesting alternatives if needed. He definitely motivated me to try new machines in the gym and new exercises (box jumps!) He also knows about injuries and will ensure each session is done safely.
It's a shame I moved away otherwise I would definitely have continued.

Friends introduced me to online HIIT and stretching classes that Stef ran during the covid lockdowns and I probably wouldn't have got through lockdown without them. I hadn't exercised for a couple of months because I'd had surgery and I was hesitant about getting back into it but Stef gave clear advice and gave me the confidence to try.
His classes were professional and well-planned but equally important they were fun. The classes were good for my mental wellbeing as well as getting me physically fit again. Thank you Stef!

Stef has been my PT for over 6 years he’s seen me through countless long distance races, from marathons to 10kms, two pregnancies and the post-partum journeys that followed. I’m very driven in training and he is attuned to my level of skill and strength, and that I continually want to be challenged.

In 2013, I changed my lifestyle completely and went from being a deskbound over-eater to someone who enjoys a healthy balanced diet and exercises regularly.

In the 9 years since, I have lost over 55kg and this is a journey I am loving being on.

It's hard to know who was more surprised at the time, me or my friends and family; but having Stefan as a personal trainer from the start has been instrumental to everything. His approach is the perfect mix of challenging ("Stefan, you are killing me!") and inspiring ("Rajah, you are doing really well - keep it up and you'll be ready for the next level.").

Stefan has so much knowledge but he explains things so clearly and everyone would benefit from his diverse and indvidualised methods. He is also patient and, most importantly, enabling.

As a result of working with him I am stronger and fitter, and my flexibility and balance are better than they have been when I was in my 20s (I’m now in my 50s) - while at the same time as all of this I am having so much fun. I would give Stefan the highest recommendation.

Stef was a great motivator, and was superb at working out which exercises were best for my varied injuries (shoulder/neck and broken big toe! ) whilst encompassing a full body workout. Sadly, a move completely out of the area meant I had to give up PT sessions with him - a shame as his passion and enthusiasm for what he does and his friendly and approachable manner make him one of the best PT instructors I have met. Stefan is an insanely positive yet down to earth person, which translates extremely well into his coaching and personal training work with people. His knowledge and experience makes it easy to confide in him and believe in yourself, because he believes in you! It's always been such a pleasure to attend his training sessions, because Stefan comes up with something different every time to keep workouts fresh and challenging. Stefan goes through every motion in detail and explores various techniques to suit each individual.

I attended small group training sessions with Stefan. They were tough but he made them almost enjoyable. He tailored the sessions well so we were not repeating the same. Stef-the-Coach was an absolute life saver for me during lockdown in 2020/ 2021.
He offered a range of classes on Zoom daily for over a year. I participated in the less aerobic stretch classes and an occasional high energy one that he provided, at least four times a week.
He was always punctual, pleasant and exceedingly encouraging.
I learned much from him as he patiently explained what we were doing and why.
His knowledge of his discipline was wide, with alternatives if there were issues.
I was most disappointed when life moved on and the classes were canceled. I would enroll in a heart beat should he ever recommence Zoom classes. ( I was part of the overseas section).
I would highly recommend Stef to those fortunate enough to live in his area.

As a 60+ male with many years of sedentary occupation, but with a small amount of residual fitness from various previous sporting activity and a dodgy hip I needed help. Stef started by getting all the moving parts working properly and then moved on to build core strength and flexibility. I found I could do things that I would never have thought possible. I worked with Stefan for about 4 years which shows how much I enjoyed and benefited from our sessions. Stefan managed to keep each session interesting and understood just how far to push you in order to get the maximum benefit from each workout. We moved towards callisthenic workouts where Stefan would always bring new equipment, exercise and ideas to test you.

Finally he’s a lovely guy and somebody you’re more than happy to spend a few hours a week with.

Working with Stef was engaging, flexible and effective.
I met him when a gym opened near where I lived and immediately warmed to his open and welcoming attitude. As an overweight, 55yr old woman who had previously had some fitness and was grumpy about having lost that to a knee injury, I was not the easiest or most obvious PT candidate! However, Stef got to know me as a person, listened to what I needed and how much time I could give and set realistic and achievable goals. As a result my overall fitness did improve, to the extent that I completed a 5k charity run - and guess who was there at the end of it?!
Above all, taking into account my experience and watching and overhearing him working with others, it is the highly personalised, tailored and flexible approach that is most striking with Stef. You will not get anything that is just a standard programme, but something that is right for you.

Stefan has really helped me on my fitness journey through his PT sessions. I have trained with Stefan consistently for 8 years, and I definitely would not be as fit/strong/confident in the gym as I am today without him. We trained through my pregnancy and back into it safely 8 weeks past birth with my daughter in a sling on his chest. Stef had my heart rate monitor throughout to ensure I was never going over my recommended bpm while pregnant but ensured my workouts were still fun and very productive. Stefan is extremely knowledgable, any injuries or twinges of discomfort in a particular exercise he has multiple other options or totally different moves that will work the same muscle groups but in a way that better suits you. He can do full nutrition consultations and advice and weekly checks with you on that side of things also, help you work on your macros and goals while (in my case) respecting a flat out refusal to take any supplements or vitamins beyond what good food gives me. He’s great fun to talk nonsense with throughout the session also and if you’re really lucky he’ll break out some of his super dodgy dance moves for you too! Cannot recommend highly enough. More...

Q&As

I treat every consultation/client individually and avoid placing people into categories. Everyone is different, everyone moves differently and we are built differently too, so one size will not 'fit all'. My approach is to understand your needs and goals and build a programme of coaching specific to you that will get the best and most efficient results.
I have experience as a mentor (counselling) and Project Coordinator, so I know how to manage personalities and assist people in getting the best from themselves, even if the barriers to training are psychological.

Being open, honest and grounded in reality, especially in relation to time scales and habits we often pick up. A dream body is more than achievable, the question is - are we able to reflect on any negatives within our workouts? Our aim is always to use that energy to fuel better outcomes the next time we engage in an activity.
Every session isn't going to be amazing or easy, some will be hard and others you won't even want to start, but are the feelings of being limited and having self-doubt greater than the desire to shed the old version of you and build someone you can be proud of!

Being present for the light-bulb moments - where clients realise they are capable of succeeding and really start to dig deep. I also love the journey of getting to that point, whether it was difficult or took longer than expected, because we are then able to use those experiences positively!

Wait, let me start again - I always wanted to go to work in trainers and a tracksuit or gym gear, and I realised becoming a coach meant I could do exactly that. Coaching and training clients in the gym, or in their respective sports at specific venues appealed to me, so I studied and researched relentlessly so I could be not just a Personal Trainer, but a highly skilled coach that understands the barriers to fitness, as well as the methods to bring out fantastic transformations.

My experience spans over 15 years in team sports, coaching/mentoring and personal training. I have been able to blend and create my own coaching style and bring out the best in people when they thought it wasn't possible.
With me you get someone who knows how to overcome long-term injuries or post-op issues that limit physical activity because I have years of personal experience and I am still able to compete as a cyclist and basketball player at a high level.
I am careful, methodical and will ask for additional consultations with other professionals you may be working with to get a 'whole picture' of your health that I can use to inform your programming.

I focus on online coaching, but I am based in South East London and have no issue with clients who are willing to travel for (a limited number of) 'in-person' sessions especially if it's necessary to fine tune various movements following surgeries, pregnancies or long-term injuries.
Any in-person sessions will take place outdoors (depending on the weather) or at a nearby gym.

At all sessions, there is access to wipes, hand sanitiser and masks. All equipment is cleaned with anti-bacterial spray before and after use.
Should there be a need to postpone sessions due to contracting covid, this has already been built in to the terms and conditions the client will have signed for both the protection of client and coach.

Training with me includes guidance and coaching on how best to avoid unexpected injuries and keep you training, maintaining and achieving excellent results!

I focus on ensuring joints and ligaments are strong, healthy and consistently in a state of readiness which comes with attention to minute details from your individual movement patterns.

TLDR: I keep your body, strong, healthy and ward off potential injuries and set-backs.

Basketball and cycling are currently my main sports that I engage in personally, but I have also played football (soccer), tennis, volleyball as well as skating - and each discipline has it's own set of movement patterns and other elements that are similar and transferrable.

Whether your sport has a lower-limb focus, upper body dependent, or core-based... I have the skills to help you make tweaks and improvements to maximise your abilities.

After qualifying as a Personal Trainer, I added Pre and Post Natal Exercise to my CPD (continued professional development) and have been working with various clients for over seven years, coaching throughout entire pregnancies and thereafter, or for shorter periods of time depending on comfort levels and the ability to workout.

Staying strong, fit and healthy can have excellent physical outcomes 'post pregnancy' and help individuals achieve their desired goals (long-term). A lengthy and detailed consultation is always carried out before any training can commence, as well as giving notification to your GP, and subsequently your midwife for additional feedback and guidance about best training practice in the latter stages of pregnancy.
