Starting to train with James has been absolutely amazing. I was feeling very unmotivated, busy with work and not making any time for fitness which was rapidly making me feel even more sluggish and unmotivated in a bit of a spiral. I signed up for the starter pack of 3 sessions with James and have now been training with him for five months. I love my sessions, James can always tell what mood I'm in and manages to push me a little bit further than I thought I could go so I finish totally knackered but at the same time very pleased with myself and ready to tackle the rest of the week. The boxing training is brilliant, it uses muscles I didn't even know I had and has improved my core strength and my posture as well as general toning and fitness. It's also a great way to let off steam, particularly if you're a little bit competitive. Best of all the thought of my next session is enough to motivate me to exercise throughout the week. James would never shout or bully like some PT stereotypes does, and yet every week he somehow knows exactly how to cajole me into doing a bit more than I thought I could! I have been training with James for nearly 3 months.
His ability of understanding what I was looking from personal training sessions was far beyond my expectations. From day one, he created a program that showed results immediately and really transformed my lifestyle, which was one of my main tasks.

He introduced me to boxing training, something I would never consider before and I was surprised of how quickly I got accustomed in this training method. It has become my favourite.

He managed to put me in a new regime, with results covering all different areas of fitness, physical appearance and lifestyle.
I have significantly reduced my smoking habit, lost weight effortlessly and with no particular and extreme diets, increased strength and stamina, and most importantly, made exercise a crucial and pleasurable part of my everyday life.

His skills, extensive knowledge on all health and fitness related subjects, his friendly nature, patience and superb professionalism have transformed my life and physical appearance beyond my expectations.

We are very lucky to have met James near where we live and have been training with him for about 5 months now together with my wife. We couldn't recommend him more, James is a professional, motivating and understating PT. He will adapt and do the right work outs for you following your need and where you'd like to focus, pushing you hard but always in a fun way!
We really enjoy doing boxing with him, we think it's the best way to improve core, strength and shape the whole body all in one go!!

I have trained with James for about 3 months to cut down on body fat, while following a weight lifting programme designed by him to maintain strength and muscle. The cut has been a success, all strength and muscle maintained (some lifts have even gone up slightly) and the most important thing is that boxing based cardio is SO much more enjoyable and useful than jogging for example. I have been training with James for about around 5 months now and have really enjoyed it. He is very good at motivating me during our training sessions and making weekly exercise schedule (running & core exercises). For me the boxing elements of the training makes it fun to burn calories when we have our weekly sessions. In addition to the training, he has also been helping me with my dieting. I can clearly see the result as I have lost around 10 kg since we started and have increased my muscle definition in the process. More...

Q&As

Firs and foremost I listen to their needs.

Once I know what the client is looking to achieve I tailor my sessions to their exact requirements.

I then build a specific training programme for them to do at the gym or at home when I'm not around.

Together we set goals under the S.M.A.R.T principle (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Timebound)

During this time we look at their diet and normally with a few simple tweaks can improve their nutrition intake to complement the workout schedule.

Plus.....we train hard and have fun!

I rather not focus on the 'body of your dreams' and rather focus on ones well being, health and out look on life.

Everything else will then fall into place.

The most rewarding aspect of my job is improving someones health and making them feel better in themselves.

My love of fitness has been with me through out my life but once I reached certain age I felt I could offer a first class personal training experience. The time was right to combine everything I have learnt over the years from my sporting back ground, gym experience, work and personal life and personal training expertise.

I'm a fun trainer that works you extremely hard (when you are ready of course!this can been a gradual progression as not to over train / overwork you in the early days). I like to have a laugh with clients but when it's time to workout its all business. I'm not a 'shouter' so if you need someone like that I'm not the trainer for you.

I'm very specific on correct form, always ensuring safely executed exercise.

Extremely knowledgeable on all things fitness and know exactly when to 'up the ante' and push your limits but ensuring not to put you off exercise.
