Matt is an amazing PT who I cannot recommend enough. Within two months Matt has taken me from a complete gym newbie to somebody who now feels well prepared and confident in the gym!
He has given me the knowledge and confidence to exercise regularly by myself and also regularly provides me with various workout plans to do on my own.
As someone who came to Matt recovering off of a knee and ankle injury, and with the aim to loose weight, I couldn’t have asked for anyone better. He fully understands my injuries, and tailors the workouts according to my needs. We have worked together to strengthen my leg whilst simultaneously keeping my goal of losing weight in mind.
Our sessions are always fun and varied whilst being undoubtedly challenging! Matt is an energetic and dynamic character who knows when and how to push you to your limits!
He has completely transformed my perspective on working out and losing weight, always emphasising that it’s a journey and not a linear process.

Matt is a PT that I would undoubtedly recommend to all my friends and family.
Last year I started to feel unhappy with my weight and fitness levels so I decided to get a personal trainer to motivate myself and increase my knowledge around exercise.
Matt listened to all my needs and planned my workouts around my end goal, including workout programme's to carry out when I was on my own in the gym so I knew what to do. Alongside this, Matt also created a personalised food plan with meal ideas that I could make.
Matt has excellent communication skills and often messages throughout the week to see how you're feeling, also offering support and motivation.
I have really started to see the benefit of his sessions and now I go to the gym at least 5 times week by myself, I have now reached a point where I love exercise and I am frustrated if I have to miss a session.
Can't recommend him enough!

6 months ago, I realized I wasn’t getting very far with my fitness journey and really needed some motivation and support.
Matt was friendly and approachable from the start and took time to listen to what I wanted to achieve, my time constraints, my previous experience at the gym, exercises I enjoyed and those and I didn’t feel comfortable doing.
I didn’t know what to expect with online training, I didn’t even know what it meant! The training software is really comprehensive but very easy to follow; not only does it connect my fitness pal so my calorie intake can be tracked, it also monitors my fitness and daily step count on my Fitbit. Matt sets up workouts with videos so I can follow them easily online.
Matt broke down my food intake requirements and explained how much of each type of food I needed to eat. I always used to think that getting the nutrition right whilst working hard was so complex but Matt made it all very simple to understand.
Since I have started working with Matt, I have lost over 10kg and I actually look forward to exercising! Matt has helped me change my outlook on fitness and continues to encourage me to make lifestyle changes so I can reach my goals. He communicates with me daily and gives me the motivation I need to continue on this journey.

This guy...absolute pain the butt, literally. Dropped a dress size in a blocked set of sessions; boxing, unique effective circuits that i didnt think i would like so much but cant wait to do more of, workout at home- no probs since Matt gives u some key points to target and how, really conditioned me to want to go to the gym again while regulating my mood swings that were changed after every session. Tucked away down a decrepit, dingy little road is xplosive ape which for its size houses lots of decent machines and weights. It's a bodybuilding gym, rough around the edges but everything works and it'll get the job done, lots of 'bros' all filming each other and high fiving after a set and lots of testosterone flying around. Seems as though the majority are 'juiced' an will flaunt around and take your machine unless your bicep measures at least a CM bigger than theirs, but if you want to hit a hard workout and this sounds like you, this is the place for you, good range of equipment must be emphasised to give it it's credit, upstairs has a small but equally well equipped cardio section More...

Pretty good gym, great variety of equipment and not cheap, considering this is a "bodybuilder" gym. Pretty cheap too. But bit of a meat head place. Gets rammed at weekends, Monday to Friday daytime it's empty which is nice if you want to train. Can get cold in the winter as there's no central cooling/heating but at least it's not freezing aircon. More...

How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?
Using the very best and latest conventional and functional approaches of exercise combined with bespoke diet prep planning tailored to their health and fitness goals. As well as the interactive training sessions weekly reviews are a popular choice with clients where current goals and targets are discussed and analysed, as well as the relevant testing carried out for statistical progress checking.
I feel it is important that clients are not only advised on what foods they should eat in relation to their training but also for them to understand the science of what is happening inside their bodies when they do eat particular foods. If you break down the nutritional science aspect and link that to how it helps achieve their goals it certainly changes the psychology and behavioural issues they may have towards nutrition.

Making the necessary life style changes that need to be put in place around your health and fitness aspirations, then equipping a motivational and consistency mindset you need in training and nutrition.
In reality once you understand what needs to be done and how your body works and responds to everything you set out it comes down to hard work in your training, being organised with your food planning and preparation but most importantly to enjoy your training and pushing yourself physically and mentally.

Purely for the passion I have for this industry, a line of work and business model that I believe in as well as inspire others using my extensive knowledge and experience in helping individuals realise they're true potential.
Growing up in a sports background along with my late father who suffered health problems over the last few years fuelled my desire to help others in health and fitness and raise the profile of health contraindications
