Having been a student of James’s for nearly 3 years I felt it was time to write a review. When I decided I wanted to learn the guitar, I had no sense of direction and next to knowledge. I was an absolute beginner. I contacted James and we arranged a time to go to his studio. I was slightly apprehensive and nervous. After my very first lesson I knew I had found someone who could guide me on my musical Journey.He takes time to explain everything in a thorough manner which is concise and easy to understand, as well as pushing you to keep bettering yourself and getting out of your comfort zone. He has a brilliant range of material to suit any level, from beginner to seasoned shredder.James also understands that people live rather busy lives, so is flexible with time slots and will go out of his way to make sure your getting the best possible value for money. James has a unique teaching style and a great rapport with the younger students, and goes out of his way to arrange performance opportunities and jamming sessions to build confidence and show off their skills. James is a very talented musician who is able to inspire others, young and old, to achieve their very best. He not only creates an environment and a relationship with his pupils that enables them to challenge themselves and often exceed their own expectations, but he also invests a great deal of his own time to create opportunities for them to share their talents with an audience.
