We recently hired Press Play Entertainment for a Bnei Mitzvah celebration. Keith and his team were a delight to work with. Keith was very communicative and cooperative in the planning stages and fleshed out a great program for the event. There wasn't a single point during our planning conversations where I felt he was "pushing" services; in fact I felt that he really listened to what I wanted and even discouraged me from purchasing extra services when I inquired about them, which I really appreciated. At the event itself, he and his team were energetic and upbeat and managed to get even the most reluctant guests to participate in the fun and really enjoy themselves. Just like with many events of this kind, we encountered a few small challenges (larger crowd than was expected for the space rented, a few "non-compliant" teens) that Keith and team handled seamlessly and flawlessly. Most importantly, everyone had a great time! Many of the adult guests came up to me after the party to express how impressed they were by Keith and team and said they had never seen another entertainer be so effective and engaging at a party. We would confidently recommend Press Play to anyone looking for an exceptional wedding DJ experience! Neither my husband nor I are experts on music (I for example never remember the names of songs I like), so we were looking for a DJ who would be able to capture the essence of the music we enjoyed. We found Press Play approximately 5 months before our wedding. Keith provided an online form with common wedding songs and essential questions about our wedding day. We chose about 1.5 hours of music from this list, and also shared four Spotify playlists with him – our must-play, must-not play, like list, and prefer-not-to-play lists, which we had compiled over the course of a few months. Keith seamlessly filled in the rest. ~3 weeks before the wedding, Keith reached out to confirm the day-of-proceedings and pronunciation of names, demonstrating his attention to detail. During our wedding, Keith's kept the atmosphere lively and engaged, with creative ideas such as asking if some of our teenage guests wanted to try out the DJ booth. Keith was hired by my wife and I to be our DJ for our vow renewal (wedding 2, thanks Covid). He was very caring of our needs and wants for the entire event. All of our guests had nothing but positive things to say in regards to his professionalism and engagement with the guests. All of the pronunciations were spot on and correct. With regards to our situation, he showed care and respect to our direct needs and wants for the most important parts. Without hesitation, he will and has been recommended by my wife and I for future events of our friends and family. If we ever do another event, he will be there if he’s available. Keith, kicked ass and kept the crowd engaged and most importantly to my wife and I, got all the names right and listened to us. What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
Working with clients to understand their guests' tastes in music prior to the event, taking requests, reading the crowd, and not being afraid to make quick changes are ways we make sure to keep guests dancing all night.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
Our DJs all have their own personal style. Whether you want a 'hype-man' that is great on the mic, a chill DJ who lets the music do the talking, someone who can lead and teach dances, or a local radio personality (Mikey V from Kiss 108), we have a DJ that will fit the style of event you are planning.
What do you love most about your job?
I am most proud of the fact that we don’t just entertain our clients, but also build relationships with them and become part of their family. There are numerous families for which we have DJ’d all of their children’s and cousin’s Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Sweet 16’s, graduations, and even weddings. We have also been able to build outstanding relationships with local communities and vendor partners.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I started my DJ career as a freshman at UMASS Amherst on a small student-run radio station. It was a great experience and I was able to learn a lot and appreciate all genres of music. During my sophomore year, I was attending a friend’s Bat Mitzvah and met my mentor from Glassman Entertainment. My 1st gig was a Silver Lake High School prom and the rest is history. I worked for Glassman Entertainment for over 15 years and when the owner was ready to move on from DJing, I was lucky enough to buy the company in 2008.

Experience, passion, and a love for music and entertaining. We do a large portion of our business through referrals because we make our clients confident in their choice of entertainment. At the end of the night, we want their clients and their guests to leave the party with smiles on their faces and memories to last a lifetime.
