Ed Mays Groove Kitchen is a red hot Seattle based dance/show band made up of some of the Pacific Northwest’s finest entertainers. We started off specializing in classic RnB in the tradition of Aretha Franklin, Sade, Earth Wind and Fire, Chaka Khan, The Supremes, The Pointer Sisters, but because of our extensive backgrounds our repertoire is actually quite broad and can include vocal jazz, classic rock, blues, Reggae, and Latin, etc.

Parties: Weddings, corporate events, backyard parties and all manner of events.
GK has played lots of weddings from the Space Needle to the Salish lodge. We offer a full service wedding package including emcee, vocal jazz dinner set, milling around music etc.
We also provide top notch entertainment for corporate parties.
Back yard parties are not out of the question and we won't break the bank.
Festivals
GK is a favorite at festivals and has a number of festival clients that call us back year after year.
Clubs
GK has a number of clubs that we play every month. This keeps the band tight as we are working all the time.
Jazz Band
We play a number of events that are straight up jazz and Latin. We offer sultry vocal jazz backing our amazing singer or we can play an evening of red hot bop, samba and salsa if they want instrumental music. We also play cool jazz and for those who want to swing dance we can do old standard pop tunes from the swing era. GK comes in many shapes and sizes.
