I recently installed solar and wanted to reduce gas use as much as possible, this includes not turning on my furnace this winter and using electric heaters. But obviously those do not work as well (thinking of getting mini-splits in the future) so it was constantly cold and uncomfortable in my house these past few months. I saw some ads on Facebook about attic insulation (Attic Cali was not the ad I saw) so I went on yelp and got some appointments for a few companies to come take a look at my home. Brian came for the estimate and was very helpful. I even rescheduled due to rain and he was very understanding. Attic Cali was able to give me a really good price amongst the 3 options I had. I decided on blown-in cellulose after Brian's recommendation and some research I did on my own. Attic insulation was overall a couple thousand dollars more than I thought (not specific to Attic Cali but in general) but the pricing was still competitive. And with all these storms in the new year (Jan of 2023) I had a lot of concerns about doing the job in the rain. But Brian assured me that they would keep everything dry and clean. Oscar and another team member came the day of installation and both did a fantastic job. They removed my old insulation, air sealed and sanitized the attic, rodent proof the attic and crawl space (luckily I didn't have any rodent infestation), and then blew in the new insulation. Job started at 10am and they finished at 4:30pm. They covered the floors in plastic and covered the working area with plastic from floor to ceiling. And as promised they did keep everything very clean and dry despite some heavy on and off rain. Now my hallway thermostat reads 68 average whereas before it was reading 62. I felt the difference the next day, it was so much more comfortable. Those 6 degrees make a huge difference! The past few days I have not used my heaters as much, when I do it's now just in the mornings when I wake up and evenings before bed. I'm excited to feel the difference in the summer. I honestly didn't think new insulation would be as impactful during the winter since I'm not heating the house much, but it is. From my before and after photos, you can see that I barely had any insulation to start with. I was told it might have been the same insulation as when the house was built many decades ago. Now there's a couple feet worth of insulation. Extremely satisfied with Attic Cali. Thank you! One bonus: their online invoicing system accepts ApplePay, so if you have an AppleCard you can mitigate the 3% service fee for cards with Apple's 2% CB. No service fees if paid by check, other companies have the same 3% fee if paying with card. Brian is very knowledgeable and was able to provide great advice regarding various ways to insulate my home. It turned out that a lot of my cold air was coming from my crawlspace and windows, rather than my walls. He also helped me find an insulated foam board to help air-seal my attic entrance! I will definitely contact this company again once I need to replace my old/aging attic insulation, but for now the crawlspace & windows seemed to do the trick! More...

Attic Cali exceeded our expectations. I never thought that our 5 year fight with rats would ever go away. We had got to the point where our two cats and a pit bull never did there job, and we named the rat inside out kitchen "Lard A**", because it ate everything. ..including our water outlet on our dishwasher. I would recommend Atticali - the guys on the day were very communicative and hard working. They did arrive within the time frame expected, but also apologised for being late due to traffic. However, the final cost was more than double the quote. The person that came and did the quote didn’t actually go under the house and check how many ducts were damaged- so kind of unsure if the purpose of the quote. I recently got my attic and garage ceiling done. The crew removed and reinstalled a brand new setup in our attic. They also redid the insulation above my garage below 2 2nd floor bedrooms. Brian Van Dyke was my contact over there and he was great. Answered every question, and gave me a lot of helpful tips I didn't even ask about. The job was small and sadly there was a small hiccup in the job. That said Brian jumped right on it and offered to fix it himself. Brian personally saw to it that the entire job was finished and made sure I was delighted. In construction, there are always issues that pop up in a job, so this was not unique. What was unique was the attention and personal responsibility Brian took to make sure I was satisfied. In life you can't plan for the unplanned, but brian did do a great job to make sure I was totally satisfied. I can confidently say I am a happy customer and I thank attic Cali for their work! Atticali did a great job at my family's rental property in San Jose. The old insulation was worn out and gross and the summer was cooking that house. Brian was our estimator and offered the best solution for the money which was R38 pink fiberglass in our case. He also answered questions we had about spray foam and air ducts.They came in at a fair price for the quality of work and quality of materials. They aren't the cheapest but also weren't anywhere close to the most expensive from the quotes we had. The installers were great and did a great job of prepping and keeping everything clean. I had service at the end of March beginning of April. I submitted a review with 5 stars. The contract did indicate that traps and follow up would be made. NO traps were set and no follow-up other then the request for balance was made...UNTIL1. I called with a complaint of activity 2 weeks later [April]. Company sent someone out, who inspected attic, NOT under house. the only traps he had were mouse traps. He set a few in the attic and left. NO follow up and no catch.2. I called office indicating that I still had activity [May]... I sent some RAT traps which I purchased. Company did call but left no message. When I called back they said they would send someone. The New guy come, but again without traps or details. This new guy did listen to me and I felt I would have support. He looked over the traps and indicated a follow up would be made.NO Follow up and I did have catches see pics. These were my traps. I then set up a camera to document activity. 3. I have trapped 4 rats since setting up my camera. I have determined where the activity is and am monitoring. But wait did I not pay a company to help out with this?????I now send video to the office. I found that the only follow-up I get from this company is when I send proof of activity. Note: I did send a email to the office as a formal complaint. they did schedule someone the next day and did call a few hours before the appointment. Memorial Day. Holiday Monday. The manager also called and opened the greeting with His name and he was a call back on his day off.last week my new guy come put. Did check some areas. I then showed him picture and video I had capture and that the office had not provided him.Manager of this company has some homework to do. From the estimate to the repair work, I was very happy with the work completed. Marco's crew did a great job, paying attention to detail. My attic was a real mess. They cleaned, rodent proof both the attic and crawl space. Repaired the air ducts and insulated the attic. I would recommend this company to anyone in need of rodent clean up and proofing. Job: Spray Foam insulation.I called them and I wanted the job to be done ASAP. I was planning on doing all the prework and the post work, so they would only do the spray foam. I had multiple emails with them. Finally, the estimate was given and I went with them because they would be able to fit me in the next day. I was happy with the quick response and their ability to do my job quickly.The team that came was really professional and I believe they did a great job. I am also happy to report they insulated a surface mounted box recently I installed. I am VERY grateful for that. My disappointment was that I have a 50 Amp 208 Volt exterior plug that was not able to be utilized for this job, instead one of the team members had to install a breaker into my electrical panel. Job: Blow-in insulation and Drywall repairThey did the job, I got my insulation installed and drywall repaired/painted for a decent price. They were also very tidy, laying down paper and plastic. However, the road to completing the job was filled with scheduling issues and workers showing up after 5pm to start work, or not even showing up some days. I had to call for any update. A 2-day job ended up stretching to 6 days, and multiple calls to the office to get things sorted. My house was pretty much unusable for the week.After finishing the cleanup felt rushed. They did vacuum and mop, but there was still dust and paint drips scattered around the trim. In addition they accidentally took some of my tools and supplies in the rush out.That being said, management was very apologetic and offered a discount for the trouble. My husband and I just bought our first home and we are realizing how worry-free our lives had been when we were renters. What’s the number #1 thing we took for granted as tenants? Correct answer is pest control! Six months living in our castle and we started to hear noises from the attic. My husband tried dealing with it himself at first. Then he realized the problem might be worse than imagined when he saw the amount of droppings on our insulation. We were very happy to find AttiCali because they eliminate rodent issues but they also clean and sanitize attics after the infestation is gone! They took out all the old insulation and replaced it with new, thicker insulation. I have a strong sense of smell and our home smells amazing now! I used to think a previous owner had a cat that might have sprayed in the house. I’m now realizing this was the smell of rodent urine and feces in my insulation! I’m so happy to have a cleaner, healthier home and all my husband seems to notice is how much cooler the house stays on warmer days and how much we’re saving on utilities after the insulation upgrade!
