Dr. Hahn is professional, empathetic and a great listener. He makes you feel understood, safe, and heard. He creates an environment that feels trustworthy, judgment-free and comfortable to speak about any issue that is on your mind. You and I both know the the pain of depression, anxiety, or relationship troubles. At some point you think, "I've tried everything" but you still do not want to give up. You feel stuck and know that being stuck only makes things worse. It is a dark place or a scary place. And it is not where you want to be. There is nothing more joyful than coming into the light. It is wonderful and wonderous to walk back into a full and fulfilling life. I will accompany you and guide you on that journey. That is a great honor and my greatest pleasure.

You want to feel good fast. Years of therapy is not for you. I get it. For over 30 years I have been working hard to make my craft efficient and effective. I have the tools that you can use for the rest of your life and avoid falling into the rut you are in now.
Therapy is expensive. You would like to use your health insurance. But insurance rules will cost you much more in the long run. Let me explain. Serious work in psychotherapy happens after you share your experience with the therapist and the therapist is properly empathetic. Empathy is necessary but not sufficient for therapy. Only after you feel understood can you begin to engage in the collaborative work of change. It usually takes about 30-40 minutes of sharing to get everything off of your chest. Insurance rules limit sessions to not more than 50 minutes a day. Which means serious and effective work is left for the next session. But by that time more stuff has happened and the session goes back to venting and empathy. Venting and empathy feel good but that is not enough for changing perceptions and learning the tools to get rid of depression or anxiety. Feeling good in the short term without real benefits is why some people stay in therapy for years on end.
You want to feel better. You want it ASAP. You do not want to wait years to get your life back. We can do in a matter of weeks or months. Not years. Six months is a long time for therapy in my practice. But it is far better than six years or more. Insurance rules will keep you in therapy for years. If you are willing to work with intensity and diligence and you will have a happier life in weeks or months.
