What kind of accounting services do you provide?
Full Service Bookkeeping, Payroll, Financial Reporting, Tax Prep, Business Tax Processing using Third-Party software, Best Practices Accounting procedures creation specific to your business, Budgeting/Forecasting, and all Management level Accounting mentoring.
Why is it so important for businesses to hire a great accountant?
There is no avoiding the necessity to keep good, accurate financial records, whether for informational purposes to improve your business, or for the litany of government reporting requirements. A great Accountant can handle all aspects of those requirements, and do so in a way that benefits the company and lets the owners and other employees focus on making that business as successful as possible.
What do you love most about your job?
I thoroughly enjoy learning about each new type of business I encounter, how they make their money, how they fit into their marketplace and what challenges they face on a daily basis. I enjoy the challenge of finding that set of Best Practices unique to each individual business and to see the changes those Best Practices improve in those businesses.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have always had a entrepreneurial spirit since I ran my first business while still in college. Through different business structures over the past 20 years, I realized that working with and within small to medium sized businesses is where I felt most engaged and most inspired. I really enjoy the challenge of working with new businesses on a regular basis and especially love when the work I do makes tangible change to those businesses.
Why should our clients choose you?
I am direct, non-judgmental and have a wide knowledge base to work from. While I am very open to working with my Clients on-going and long-term, I also know that it may be in your best interest for me to complete the requested tasks as efficiently as possible, then set up some Best Practices for your company to continue without my continued input (and cost).
Payroll
I have run manual payroll systems through Quickbooks before where I processed all hourly/salary calculations, all withholdings and deductions, made all IRS deposits, filed all Federal & State quarterly and annual reporting, including 940's, 941's & 944's, W-2's & W-3's, 1099-M state withholding/unemployment etc.
While I recommend that you use a payroll service to handle your payroll, it is still beneficial to have someone oversee the process who knows the ins and outs of everything required of employers.
Financial Reporting
I will either setup correctly or correct your current Chart of Accounts in a way that meets standard GAAP reporting requirements and flows easily into a tax return, if necessary. I will audit your accounts for errors and fix issues in regards to all areas of your Balance Sheet and P&L. I will seek out ways to improve your reporting procedures help you reach your reporting goals, whether that be for Financing reasons, Corporate Reporting reasons, Operational Improvement information etc.
Prior Year Clean Up
I will help you Clean Up/Correct prior year accounting transactions, file any back Business taxes, back Payroll taxes, and do so in a way that is non-judgmental and fixes any problems that have carried forward. I will plan with you the best way to address government agencies and Collectors to ensure that catching up old issues doesn't sink your current business.
Tax Preparation
While I have the most experience handling Tax Preparation for businesses, I also am capable of handling limited-range personal taxes, specifically those that are self-employed and operate as sole propreitors.
