I've known Sebastian for many years now. Being a world class pianist, you cannot afford to miss the smallest level of detail when it comes to playing; Sebastian clearly demonstrates this during each and every one of his lessons. I have had many people who taught me piano, but to the level that Sebastian goes, I've known no one else. Whatever improvements there are to be made, Sebastian will not let them slip by. My articulation, hand technique and control of dynamics before I met Sebastian were nothing like what they are now. With that in mind, I wish to say it has been a great privilege of knowing Sebastian. I will be off to university soon, so I will be living elsewhere. I do, however, thoroughly recommend seizing this opportunity of taking lessons with Sebastian if you are an aspiring pianist who would take this seriously and seek every possible way of improving your piano performance with his guidance.

Whilst classically trained, I also play in a couple of touring bands, so am equally comfortable teaching rock, pop and jazz as classical. I am happy to teach both adults and children, as well as beginners to intermediate. Most lessons are at my house in the Jersey Farm area of St Albans, but I am able to go to students' houses in certain circumstances. I also offer online lessons through Zoom.

I had only one lesson with Mike before lock-down started and lessons went online, so it's early days. By using technology creatively, Mike has kept me developing. I submit recordings, onto which he superimposes video commentary and sends back to me; this is very useful because I can keep going back to it. Even after lockdown, I might want to continue to do this. I am looking to explore wider than the ABRSM syllabus, I feel pretty confident that Mike will enable me to do this. He is encouraging and supportive and if you’re look for something a bit different (I was) then Mike might be your guy.

I'm in my late seventies and suffer from a great deal of pain - back, knees, toes, hands and wrists. My hands in particular (I think the condition is called carpel tunnel) have been keeping me awake at night, and during the day they feel cold and send jolting pains into my fingers and palms at random moments.
One session with Rosemary has given me far more than I expected. Her consultation afforded me astonshingly swift relief and once home, I follow her tapping exercises carefully. The pain in my hands has reduced considerably in just a couple of days. I also find the tapping is oddly comforting. This morning's bonus was that my ingrowing toenail started to throb viciously (I hadn't even mentioned this to Rosemary) and I started the gamut tappping, saying out loud, almost jokingly, 'Bugger off!' I didn't expect anything to happen but the pain left me in less than ten seconds. I still have a great deal to learn, but Rosemary has given me an arsenal of magic bullets. And Rosemary is the magician!

I started taking guitar lessons at The Musiclab because although I had a guitar for some time, I just wasn't motivated enough to practice and learn on my own. I have been taking lessons for two years now and love it. I am in a group with some great people and really enjoy the lessons. My playing has improved massively. Musiclab also encourage all their students to play live in their Gigs. I had never thought of playing before with others but I love it! It is such fun and the atmosphere is so kind and well natured!

I have got so much pleasure from playing the piano over the years that I wanted to give something back and help others to get the same enjoyment.
I have always enjoyed being 'master of my own destiny'. Running my own business allows me a certain amount of freedom to enjoy my other pursuits in life, and also to perform with my bands that tour the UK.
I have a good all-round knowledge of piano and keyboards having been classically trained to Grade 8 level, but now performing in two bands across the country. The bands I play in perform a variety of musical genres and I am able to better teach these styles to the students who wish to learn contemporary music.
I offer lessons both face-to-face and remotely online. The COVID lockdown forced many changes on us, and I now use software specifically written for conducting online music lessons.
I have done a full risk assessment for COVID and, outside of lockdown, face-to-face lessons are able to continue at my house. Students wash their hands on entry and do not cross over in my house. All equipment and surfaces are sanitised on a regular basis.
