About
Hi, I'm Paul and I am a BACP registered Counsellor. As a therapist my outlook is centred on the belief that change is possible, and that you have the ability to create a more fulfilling life for yourself. While the process may require effort and patience, I am committed to supporting and guiding you every step of the way.
I use a variety of approaches to support my clients, which I am happy to discuss in detail but broadly speaking, I am a person-centred, integrative therapist. This means that my focus is on you and your story, and I draw from different theories and perspectives to find the best fit for your needs. I take a holistic approach, considering all aspects of your life, including mind, body, and spirit.
I approach therapy as a collaborative journey, where we work together to explore your experiences, strengths, and challenges. I recognize that you bring a unique perspective and insight into your own life, and my role is to help you harness those strengths and overcome obstacles.
Whether we're working together face-to-face or online, my goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can feel comfortable exploring your thoughts and feelings. Together, we'll identify your goals, develop new strategies and coping skills, and help you build the resilience you need to navigate life's challenges.
I take pride in providing a supportive and safe space for my clients, while also offering direct feedback and challenging unhelpful thoughts or beliefs. I believe that exploring your past and present relationships is key to making progress and achieving breakthroughs. In addition to providing tools and strategies, I may also recommend helpful books, articles or websites to support your growth.
I understand that finding the right therapist is essential, and that's why I offer a free, no obligation 20-minute consultation. This gives you an opportunity to determine if I'm the right fit for you and if we could work well together. So if you're ready to take the first step towards a better life, please don't hesitate to reach out.
If you're ready to make a change, let's work together to make it happen.
