Visited for Sunday lunch which was absolutely delightful. Home made pate delicious. Salmon fish cakes lovely. Steak was cooked just right which these days is getting difficult to find. Roast beef was cooked superb and I didn’t want to leave any but I could not leave the Yorkshire which was the best I’ve ever tasted. The staff greeted us very friendly at the bar and found us a table. The two staff who served our meals were both pleasant, smiling and friendly. What a lovely place to visit and we will be back. Nice place with a good atmosphere. Well priced with decent staff. They had a dodgy batch of prawns in but happily replaced my meal with no quibbles. Cheers.

Booked all 3 rooms for friends to break up long motorcycle journey. Really friendly staff and lovely pub and room. Comfy bed too. Only disappointment was we had emailed to forewarn that a vegan was in our party and Emily emailed back to say the breakfast chef had been told but wasnt so could only have 2 items from a full cooked breakfast and dry toast, black coffee and no cereal. They did do a special vegan meal the previous night which was enjoyed. Would stay here again. More...

Be warned, big portions and a little bit of belt loosening required,. We are a party of 6 and the snacks whilst waiting are big. Starters of whitebait, duck pate and nachos all well presented, delicious and hunger busting.Great selection of beers and a mind scrambling weston cider at 7.5%.Definitely worth a visit and nice ambiance. Lovely venue with a lovely beer garden! The menu had lots of choice on, as well as the pub serving real ale. It was a bit warm so I opted for a Cider which was spot on! The burger was lovely and the people who were sat outside (locals) were all chatty and friendly! Will definitely be going back More...

Great food. Big portions and lots of choice. The light bites menu is really good value as you can add chips to make them into a very filling meal. Oh and the chips are amazing!Sometimes there can be a wait for the food but I don't mind when it's being freshly cooked.Fairly priced and happy to adjust the meals to suit your preference. More...

We recently stayed here with our 1yr son, whilst visiting family locally. The room was brilliant - clean, bright and well-equipped (although a touch snug with the travel cot in it aswell). We arrived late but had a very warm welcome, and this continued throughout our stay. The staff were friendly and so helpful with sorting things for our son, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was excellent. We ate in the restaurant one evening too, with lovely food and great service. ||||We would highly recommend this hotel and would happily stay again. More...
