Stephanie is so professional. And I would like to say a huge thank you.
As an international student from a family with high expectations, I collapsed in the first term oversea. Suffering from anxiety and depression, I had panic attacks and serious insomnia, and even eczema. I can’t even begin to explain how helpful, reassuring and amazing Stephanie is! I can’t recommend Stephanie enough. I’ve told everyone I know about how much she has changed my life. When I first contacted Stephanie, I didn’t know what to expect from therapy. I was very low at that point and was stuck in a spiral. To be honest, I didn’t think that therapy could help me, as I was so ingrained in self doubt and felt certain that I would feel that way forever. I have always been motivated by helping relieve others' pain, it's the best feeling when I'm able to do this and I'm so fortunate to be able to do it for a living.
It's an honour when someone trusts you to help them, it's a precious thing when you can share someone's therapeutic journey and watch them improve their life, and there's nothing more fulfilling than seeing someone free themselves of inhibiting beliefs and difficulty.

My business in particular takes a holistic approach looking at mental health as total health, to help someone heal themselves in permanent and sustainable ways. I know many therapies which focus on a particular problem and in these cases clients would return to therapy when they have a different problem. I want to show people how they can see themselves, others and the world in a healthy way, based in truth and logic which equips them with all they need to manage any other problem in the future. If you provide someone with healthy fundamental philosophical change they can recognise and utilise their emotional responsibility without the need of a professional again in the future.

All my clients who've been committed to making therapeutic change have achieved their goal with me. Although we as professionals can never guarantee success, I promise you I know how to help you, and if you meet me with energy and effort there is nothing stopping you from achieving your goal.

I conduct my service remotely over video link and I do face-to-face sessions in Harpenden, Hertfordshire.

Most of my clients prefer remote working, but if we do face-to-face all current Covid safety measures are followed.

Services

Hypnotherapy is probably the most effective therapeutic tool I've used in the therapy room. Hypnotherapy is a relaxing and pleasant experience, you are in as much control of yourself as you are at this moment so it's completely safe. You can't be made to do anything you don't want to do and will be helped to do what you do want help with.

Hypnosis is a natural state of mind. We all go in and out of hypnotic states on a daily basis. If you've ever been watching a TV programme or driving on the motorway, and you've zoned out and lost track of time then you've been in a hypnotic state.

Addressing problems in a hypnotic state accesses the subconscious mind to achieve your desired outcome, without the input from the analytical and critical conscious mind getting in the way.

We will use some simply guides to help you get in control of your weight. You will be able to eat your favourite foods, you will no longer obsess about what you can and can't eat, when you can eat or how much, and you'll do this while losing weight! And you'll keep the weight off. If you don't believe me then why not try it and see for yourself. I struggled with weight fluctuation for years and now I eat whatever I want, when I want and I'm the slimmest I've been, and have stayed so for many years now.

We will also discuss nutrition, health longevity and better aging, how to eat with your body clock and other healthy eating habits, but there are still no off-limit foods. We will check your current understanding of nutrition and only cover new ground. No more denying yourself of things you crave and you will instil a natural relationship with food. That's how you'll see that this is the end of yo-yo dieting, because it will be sustainable. We'll change the way you eat food and your relationship with it for the future.

You will learn exactly how you disturb yourself, how you have emotional responsibility and take control of your emotions. We will identify any unrealistic or illogical beliefs you have so you can shift these over to something healthy. The theory, tools and strategies will help reframe the way you see yourself, others and the world in a way which is true, logical and helpful. As a consequence, you'll become a resilient individual who manages problems with ease, and becomes their own therapist.

A client-centred, humanistic talking therapy where we will use integrative techniques as and when needed to help you get the support you need in a space where you feel listened to.

There are various problems which get in the way of a healthy relationship, we will identify these together. We will also get a clear understanding of which elements of a relationship are the most important for each partner and cross check these to bridge any gaps. We'll work on finding ways to feed the flame of the relationship and air 'dirty laundry' in a controlled environment. We'll check which areas of your needs are not being met and how to resolve this between the two of you. You'll gain many tools and strategies to help diffuse arguments and nurture the relationship. Most importantly we will do a lot of work on communication skills and exercises, so you can leave therapy feeling confident you can resolve any future problems if they arise.
