About

I became a counsellor as I want to help people who are struggling with life's challenges. I believe counselling is a vocation and if I help just one person then it has been worthwhile. We can become very isolated if we try to deal with our problems on our own and for me as a counsellor it is about helping clients explore their inner most thoughts and being able to see the light at the end of tunnel. I believe there is always light at the end of tunnel if we look hard enough.

I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor and couples counsellor and provide CBT. I provide professional, confidential and non-judgemental counselling. I am registered with the BACP and accredited with National Counselling Society therefore I work in accordance to their ethical framework. I work collaboratively with my clients to help them explore unresolved issues whether they be in the past or in the present. I understand how hard it is for you to make that first step towards asking for help and I do not underestimate the strength and courage this requires.

I aim to create a safe and secure space where you the client feels comfortable to develop your self awareness and to help you on your journey of exploration. You are the expert in your life and each client is treated on a individual basis where the counselling process is tailored to meet your requirements and needs. Life can be tough and it is not a weakness to seek help from someone who is on the outside and who is not directly involved in your life.

The aims of counselling are to help you gain a clearer perspective of your situation and to help you find ways of coping with particular issues that you may be dealing with. Life can be challenging and being able to find someone who you can talk to about your issues without feeling judged is very important. I have a foundation degree in Counselling and I am a member of the BACP.

I have experience of working with children, adolescents and adults. In my time as a counsellor I have worked with:
