Q&As

Helping others reach their full potential and to enjoy doing it.

There was a demand for my services and my business grew largely by personal recommendation. As the demand grew my business naturally developed. However, I feel I was very lucky to find an occupation I love to do and for it to work well enough to be a successful business.

I have a wealth of experience, helping people to problem solve a number of issues. Sometimes, clients just want a warm, friendly, caring environment where they can feel heard and understood. Other clients want help in clarifying their goals and identifying a clear path towards reaching these goals. Whatever, you want to get out of your sessions, I am flexible enough to work with you and to provide you with what you need in that moment and also what you need going forward.

Yes, I have a counselling therapy room in Greenwich, near Maze Hill and I also provide services online via Microsoft Teams or Zoom. You can choose, whatever is most convenient for you.

During the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, most sessions were delivered remotely. This is still an option for clients, even if they are local. The room is sanitised after each client and aired. The spacing of the seating within the room, is designed to ensure sufficient distance and space between the client and me. I take regular lateral flow tests and am happy to wear a mask if requested by the client during the session.
Government and British Psychological Society guidelines are strictly followed.

Services

I work with performance artists and with elite and recreational athletes, individually or in teams, to improve performance, cope with the various elements of the pressurised environment of sport, including racism in sport, injury rehabilitation, teamwork, performance slumps, transitioning out of sport, anger management and anxiety control etc... I have worked with athletes who have performed in the Beijing, London and Tokyo Olympics as well as other high-level sporting events in a variety of sport. As well as elite athletes and coaches, I find it just as important and enjoyable to work with recreational performers, so that they too can attain their optimum potential within their sport. Whatever, your level focusing on your mental game will complement all the work you put into your fitness, and physical game and improve your enjoyment and overall performance.
Exercise psychology clients benefit in terms of injury rehabilitation and changing mind-sets to achieve and maintain weight loss, fitness levels and improve emotional and health related issues. I am happy to briefly discuss your issues in order for you to see if you feel we can work together to help you achieve your lifestyle goals.

Often, people fail to realise their full potential due to neglecting the mental side of their everyday life. They focus on how to physically do their job rather than on the necessary mind-set and thought processes needed to help them successfully reach their goals. They need help in understanding team dynamics in order to create and effective and efficient team working environment. They focus on what is holding them back from being a confident person at work or in their social life, rather than how to problem solve the issues concerning them. I work with clients on issues such as perfectionism, stress and burnout, performance anxiety, public speaking anxiety, communication issues, work life balance, life pressures and low confidence etc... By identifying the barriers that are holding you back, you and I together, create a safe environment for you to work towards the goals you wish to achieve. Contact me for a discussion to see if you feel I would be able to help you progress towards your goals.

Specialising in cognitive behavioural therapy and adopting a person centered approach, I work with you to help you deal with a range of issues affecting your day-to-day life. I provide a warm and friendly ear, for you to express your concerns. You will feel heard and understood. I will help you to clarify your thoughts and feelings, help you cope with the circumstances in which you find your self, set goals and work towards how you want your life to be. Contact me for a brief chat to explore if I will be a good fit for what you want to achieve.

I have worked with a number of performance artists, including, dancers, musicians, singers, and stage actors to help them with performance issues, such as anxiety, focus, injury rehabilitation, overcoming setbacks and self-doubt. The performing arts is often a highly pressurised environment, it is easy to adopt a negative and detrimental mind-set. Working together, you will have a friendly ear in which you can confidentially express your concerns, allowing you to feel heard and understood and to work together to alleviate any stress and anxiety. We will focus on your existing strengths, using these to help you achieve your performance goals whilst achieving a good work/life balance. Ultimately, we will work together so that you can consistently be your best.
