Natalie took care of my husband for several years, looking after him through Parkinson’s disease and severe osteoarthritis. He was severely disabled, incontinent, unable to stand or walk, and Natalie made sure he was always clean and comfortable, showering him, dressing him, and making sure that he kept his dignity as a person. What do you love most about your job?
Dignity Home Care Medway enjoys helping others and seeing people smile. We like to help people to remain within their homes keeping their independence for as long as they can
What inspired you to start your own business?
Owner/Registered Manager has worked within the care industry since leaving school. Seeing how much of a difference that has been made to so many lives just gives us the inspiration to carry on caring for the elderly. We have seen and heard so many times how other care providers lack continuity or do not stay for the full duration of the call.
Dignity Home Care stands by, continuity. Continuity is key, especially when someone is suffering from dementia. Our carers also stay for the full duration of the care call.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
When entering homes we wash our hands straight away on arrival.
If hand-wash isn't provided then we will use hand sanitiser, putting our gloves on before doing any task along with aprons.
Masks under covid guidelines do not have to be worn anymore but if the service user has a cold or feels under the weather they are to make the carer's aware so they can wear a mask. If our carers have a slight cold they too have to wear a mask, this is to eliminate the spread of infections onto our service user's/carer's.
Domestics
Light household duties that include, dusting, vacuuming and laundry
Medication Support
All medication must be from original packaging.
We support our clients by reminding them to take their medication when they need to.
Personal care
Dignity Home Care Medway supports our clients with getting up, toileting, washing, dressing, cleaning teeth grooming/shaving in the mornings. We also help with getting undressed and into bed.
Dignity Home Care Medway also offers lunch and tea calls where we can provide light meals that can be prepared within our allocated times. Whether that's helping with feeding or simply preparing meals.
Companionship
If you just need a visit to talk to someone if you're feeling lonely then Dignity Home Care Medway offers a Companionship service where we just simply sit and talk giving our clients company so they're not alone.
