Hi there, My name is Carol.
I am a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor and a member of the NCS governing body.
I ensure I work ethically and follow their guidelines.
I work predominately as a person centred therapist.I am able to work and integrate other modalities if and when the need arises when working together, this I feel allows the work to be truly individual to you as a client allowing the work to be holistic and aiming to attend to all you require in regards to your emotional well being and psychological health.

This was my first foray into counselling, and I could not have asked for a better first experience.
Carol is incredibly easy to talk to, and hosts no judgement or bias.
I immediately felt comfortable in her presence (which is a big deal for me as I am incredibly secular) and openly spoke about the things bothering me.
Carol did not force her ideas or opinions on me, instead she gently lead me to understanding where I was, and why I was feeling/behaving the way I had been.
I made some genuine improvements working alongside Carol, and fully intend to carry on my sessions with her, as they are incredibly cathartic and insightful.

What do you love most about your job?
I really enjoy the variety, working with people either face to face or now in these times remotely I find really rewarding.
What inspired you to start your own business?
The nature of counselling work lends itself to enable you to work independently.
I feel as though I have the best of both worlds, volunteering for charities, to engage with others in the similar industry and continue supervision and support that helps me gain confidence and independence in my own business.

My work background is varied which in turn has opened up to many different experiences that I hope I can bring and use within the career as a counsellor

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
At the moment a lot of my work is remote and therefore safety is automatically adhered to.
If you would like a face to face session, then we can talk through how the centre is set up and the provisions that are in place to ensure everyone's safety.
Counselling
I offer 1:1 counselling sessions.
Rate : £50/hr
Student/concession : £40/hr
These can be on many platforms:- Face to face, video call or telephone whichever suits the individual.
The sessions are 50 mins- 1hr.
Week day appointments available both day and evening. Weekends if requested
