What inspired you to start your own business?
I wanted the flexibility to manage my own diary and clients, and operate in the best interests of clients, not a large organisation with its own goals.

All of our services are offered from our Head Office in Cairns North, as well as Australia-wide via phone and videochat platforms.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
All our services are offered via phone and videochat if clients prefer. We provide face-to-face clients with hand sanitiser upon arrival, and do not see clients that are showing flu like symptoms.
Marriage & Relationship Counselling
Marriage and Relationship Counselling can only involve joint sessions when both partners feel comfortable speaking openly and honestly in each other’s presence. Different to other providers, prior to a joint session Melinda (Counsellor) speaks with both parties for a FREE 5-10 minute individual phone call where you can provide background/history, ask questions, and become clear in what you wish to discuss in the face-to-face session. It is important to build a quick rapport with your Counsellor and these calls assist greatly.
Individual Counselling service
Our Senior Counsellor, Melinda, has over 20 years experience as a relationship, family and individual counsellor, providing support for a wide range of life issues. Based in stunning Cairns, Far North Qld, Melinda offers sessions via our offices in Cairns, or via phone and online (FaceTime, Zoom, Skype etc) platforms across Australia. Anger Management Counselling
Northern Frontiers Counselling Cairns’ Anger Management Action Plan can assist individuals who would like to undertake behavioural change with regards to their anger management. Unlike other providers, we do not offer group sessions, only individual appointments, and this can sometimes involve partner's if suitable.
Clients have a choice of a full 8 session programme, or simply book 1 or more individual counselling sessions with Melinda. We would be happy to discuss your situation and tailor something suitable. Please visit our website for our Ange Management brochure.
