Guitar Lessons
I teach beginner to intermediate guitar using Tablature. My aim as a teacher is to help you become your own teacher, so you can find tabs and music you want to play and be able to play it with ease!
In our first lesson, I will ask you about your learning style and prior experience. I’ll ask you about your guitar-playing goals, if you want to prepare to play on stage, accompany somebody, play for yourself, for a friend's wedding, for joy, anything, I would love to facilitate and join you. Please bring your guitar to the lesson (let me know if you don’t have one and you can borrow one), a notebook we and a song you like you want to learn!
Songwriting Sessions
Writing your own music can be tough, its hard to know where to start or where to go once you've started. I use my decades of songwriting experience to help you achieve your songwriting goals! Facilitating songwriting is beautiful intimate work I LOVE to engage in!
In our first session, we’ll discuss if you’ve ever written a song before, I’d love to hear any music you've written if you’d be comfortable sharing it! I want to teach you how to harness your songwriting capabilities. Tell me what your goals are for songwriting, if you want to learn how to write more, how to change genre, how to move through experiencing writer's block, or if you just want to learn how to write songs I’d love to share my knowledge, advice, and experience with you.
Artist Development Sessions
A lot of my songwriting students find themselves wanting to do more after learning the trade of songwriting. My artist development courses are focused on polishing your music and getting you stage-ready!
So you’ve been writing songs and playing them for a while, what next? I want to help you get gigs, work on your performance, get you on social media, and put your music out into the world digitally! I want to facilitate and show you how to grow your music in whatever way you want to grow.
In our first session, we'll discuss your goals for working in the music industry. Sharing music is incredibly vulnerable. I will hold space for you while you share what you've been creating. I will hold space for you and for your stage persona. If you want to release music, perform live, or perform more regularly we will start to make up a plan together or want to improve your act in any way I want to facilitate that
