I attended the Over the all day class today and had a fantastic time. I came along feeling a little intimidated, because of all the horror stories that I’d heard in the past about fondant. But I was impressed with how much fun I had, learning new skills that will make all future cakes a work of art. I normally receive good service from Latorta but not today. I had a $100 voucher that was one month out of date (yes my fault), I didn’t realise until today that it was only valid for one year. I was told they couldn’t honour it because it had expired and the voucher law only applies to vouchers after November 2019. Since we have been told to stay at home due to COVID it would have been nice for them to be slightly forgiving. Unfortunately not. Then I produced another voucher which was purchased online (due to COVID) but was told I could only use it for online orders. There is no information to state this as a requirement. The girls here are so so helpful, so welcoming and willing to give you advise, interested in what your doing and give you the time of day. I was shopping at all 3 cake shops in Canberra and now I will only shop at latorta.
